Hot-Shot Motorworks Dyno Cell is a State-of-the-Art, Second-to-None Dynamometer. Hot-Shot Motorworks Dyno is a Engine Dyno only.  With Real-Time Computerized Data Acquisition (Not Calculated as in Chassis Dyno's).  Hot-Shot Motorworks can monitor these items and many more:

Ignition Timing, Detonation
Oil Temperature
Oil Pressure
Air/Fuel Ratio (Each Cylinder is Measured Separately)
Exhaust Gas Temperature (Each Cylinder is Measured Separately)
Exhaust Back Pressure  (Each Cylinder is Measured Separately)
Cylinder Head Temperatures  (Each Cylinder is Measured Separately)
Cylinder Temperatures  (Each Cylinder is Measured Separately)
Vacuum/Boost
Crankcase Pressure/Vacuum
Volumetric Efficiencies
Piston Speeds
Piston G's
And Many More Testing Capabilities

Types of testing performed at Hot-Shot Motorworks:

Step Testing  ( Steady State ) - This is when we start our testing at 2,000 rpm and step test thru 6,500 rpm and take samples at every 250 rpm increments at different throttle positions ( 10% thru 100%TP) to simulate actual riding conditions. This procedure allows the engine to stabilize at each rpm step for 5 seconds and then samples for 5 seconds before proceeding. In doing this it allows us to monitor the ignition curve and fuel curve in a stabilized state, not just passing thru the rpm range quickly as they do on chassis dyno's.
Sweep Testing - This allows us to do a quick ( 30-40 seconds ) sweep thru any given throttle position to evaluate the Torque and Horsepower Curves after achieving the proper ignition and fuel curves and settings in a step test.
Reverse Step or Sweep Test - Hot-Shot Motorworks use this procedure to cross check the actual data achieved in testing.  This is when we start our test at 6,500 rpm and Step or Sweep under load down to 2,000 rpm.
Life Cycle Testing - ( Durability ) This is what is performed on engines and products to test it's quality and performance over an extended period of time      ( 10,20,30,40,50-200 hrs) and miles ( 100-50,000 miles).
Accelerated Life Cycle Testing - This is when we accelerate the wear and tear on an engine or components.  A load factor can be computed to simulated up to 500 Road Miles applied in 1 hr and sustain this for any given period of time or miles depending on the customer needs.
Clone Testing - This is when we attach a computer to a motorcycle and take a trip and monitor all the riding conditions and then load this information in our dyno computer and duplicate the exact riding conditions on the dyno.
Reports - A  5 - 20 page report is produced (Depending on type and length of test) for each Dyno Test.
These are only a few of the testing capabilities provided by Hot-Shot Motorworks State-of-the-Art Dyno Facility.
